Virginia Pauline Bowden Etheridge, 90, of Jefferson passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Dogwood Forest following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home 2030 Memorial Park Rd. Gainesville, GA 30504. Reverend C.K. Funio will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. There will also be a visitation held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Johns Ridouts Funeral Home Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama from 1-2 p.m. Graveside service will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Etheridge was born on January 8, 1925 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Carrie Whaley Lankford. She was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield and a member of St. Mark UMC. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, Clarence Edwin Etheridge and grandparents, Daniel and Gussie Whaley.
Mrs. Etheridge is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Steven Cutchin of Jefferson; son, Charles Edwin Etheridge of Ellijay; Sue Etheridge of Roswell; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
