Roy L. Garrett

Roy L. Garrett, age 66, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Evelyn Bagwell Garrett; and brother, Vann Garrett.  He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Carol Garrett, Buford, GA; nephew, Michael Garrett, Buford, GA; stepsons, Robbie and Carrie Blankenship, Buford, GA, and Dennis and Heidi Blankenship, Buford, GA; aunt, Helen Pass Bagwell, Buford, GA; numerous cousins; two step grandchildren, Stewart Blankenship and Keiffer Blankenship; and special friends, Ebb and Anita Scott, Buford, GA. 

Roy was born August 15, 1949 in Buford, GA.  He was a 1967 graduate of North Gwinnett High School.  He retired from General Motors Parts Division after thirty years of service.  He was an avid motorcycle rider and was of the Baptist Faith. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Ferguson officiating.  Interment will follow at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
