Walter Darrel Chisolm

       Mr. Walter Darrel Chisolm, age 85 of Dahlonega, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

            Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Pastor Wallace Pruitt will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Chisolm was born October 22, 1929 in Noxapater, Mississippi to the late Frank Earnest Chisolm and Genora Joiner Price.  He was retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sargent and retired from University of Georgia, 4-H System.  Walter was a member of Lakeview Hills Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Loretta Marie Elder Chisolm and his brothers, Malcomb Chisolm, Kenneth Chisolm and Frank Chisolm.

            Mr. Chisolm is survived by his son & daughters-in-law, Pat & Robin Chisolm of Clermont and Mike & Linda Chisolm of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Sherrie & Lanny Anderson of Dahlonega, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister & brother-in-law, Weymouth & Steve Tarver of Tennessee, sister, Sylvia Duett of Mississippi, sister-in-law, Sue Chisolm of Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
