Dorothy “Dot” Louise Dyer

               Dorothy “Dot” Louise Dyer, 72, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Ken Anderson, Reverend Spence Fuller and Reverend Earl Jarrard will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

               Mrs. Dyer was born on May 9, 1943 in Habersham County to the late Olin Hilland and Annie Lee Wilson Long. She was a member of Canon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Dyer; 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

               Mrs. Dyer is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Clara Dyer of Gillsville, Dean and Kim Dyer of Gainesville; granddaughter and husband, Priscilla and Josh Lewis; granddaughters, Robin Harris, Brandy Dyer, Mallory Dyer and Bethany Dyer; grandson, Jeremy Dyer; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Robert of Mt. Airy and Marie Haynes of Lula.
