Obituary Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2015

Betty J. Turk Anglin
March 23, 1934 ~ October 14, 2015
“Mama Betty” as she was known to so many, sang her way peacefully into Heaven on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. He daughter DeAnna was with her as she said “goodnight” at the Athens Regional Medical Center, Gentiva Hospice IPU. Our gratitude and love for the blessings and care, Dr. Michael Lebow, thank you, you all gave it your best, no one ever gave up.
Betty had fought a long and courageous battle with illness, no matter how bad she felt she always remembered JESUS and constantly sang HIS praises. Betty loved her gospel music and the singers of HIS songs. She was a witness to all who met her up until her final moment. GOD was in the room. We always said, “it was between Mama and GOD.”
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, L. James Anglin, parents, E.L. and Blandche (Duncan) Turk, infant twin brother, Arthur Jack Turk, sisters Marie Thompson and Dortha “Polly” Sanders.
Survived by her daughter, DeAnna L. Anglin Martin, Gainesville, GA and grandson, Nathan J. Martin, Tonawanda, NY. Numerous niece, nephews, family and friends but near and far.
She was a member of Air Line Baptist Church.
Betty is now singing with the Heavenly choir as she was practicing for that glorious day here on earth. Knowing her she told family and friends welcoming her, “step aside, I want to see JESUS.”
She left behind precious memories that blessed the lives of many and shall stay with us for a lifetime.
Thank you to all of the prayer warriors, those who loved and cared for “mama” daily. You are greatly appreciated and loved.
A celebration of Betty’s life memorial service will be held, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.  989 Riverside Drive Gainesville, GA. Family will share special time with family and friends beginning at 5:00 pm and a very joyous memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm, with Gary Harbin, Jerry Carder, Gerald Freeman, Ronnie Nichols and Stanley Parker and friends.
Until then, when we see you again “Mama” this is not goodbye, it is only goodnight.
