Norma Jean Ludwig

Mrs. Norma Jean Ludwig, age 76, of Oakwood passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by family.

The family will receive friends 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.  Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Mrs. Ludwig was born September 4, 1939 to the late Joseph & Margarett Downs in Bardstown, Kentucky.  She was member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and was retired from Mrs. Winners, where she had been a Manager.  Mrs. Ludwig was also preceded in death by brothers, Donald Downs and Mike Downs.

Mrs. Ludwig is survived by her husband, Joe Ludwig of Oakwood; children, William A. (Sandy) Ludwig of Louisville, Kentucky, Gail M. (Murlph, Jr.) Denney of Louisville, Kentucky, Margie R. (Bobby) Ludwig-Tyree of Louisville, Kentucky, Jeanette E. (Ken) Jackson of Buford, and Michael (Chris) Ludwig of Louisville, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers, J.E. Downs, Ken Downs and Tony Downs all of Louisville Kentucky; sisters, Shirley Downs of Louisville, Kentucky and Rosie Durham of Leitchfield, Kentucky; and an abundance of nieces & nephews.
