John Hugh Pruitt

John Hugh Pruitt was born June 11, 1943 to John and Eloise Heard Pruitt and passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the age of 72.  John lived all of his life on Castleberry Road. He was a respected electrician for 47 years until his retirement in 2007. John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edwin and Robert Pruitt; sister-in-law, Jeanette Pruitt; and father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Mary Brown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Geraldine Brown Pruitt; sons, Johnny (Lisa) Pruitt, and Jerry (Chris) Pruitt; grandchildren, Josh and Caiti Pruitt, Heather and Tim Kohler, David and Jeane Croft, Heidi and David Marsh; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Pruitt; brothers-in-law Lewis (Barbara) Brown, Clinton (Barbara) Brown, Jackie Brown, sister-in-law Charlotte and Bobby Smith, many nieces and nephews, and his much loved dog, Missy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23rd, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Vaughan and Rev. Jerry Pruitt officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made in John’s memory to the Forsyth County Humane Society.
