Matt Martin

Mr. Matt Martin, age 29, of Gainesville passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 17, 2015 in Virginia.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Hopewell Baptist Church.  Rev. Gary Wilson will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Matt was born September 25, 1986 to Timothy Martin and Rita Martin in Gainesville.  He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and had recently moved to Virginia.

Matt was preceded in death by his dad, Jodi Simmons and maternal grandfather, Howard Early.  He is survived by his mother, Rita Martin of Gainesville; father, Timothy Martin of Reynolds, Georgia; brother, Travis Martin of Missouri; maternal grandparents, Audrey Early of Gainesville and Helen & Larry Underwood of Blue Ridge, Virginia; paternal grandparents, Jackie Townsley of Cleveland, Georgia and Thomas “Tommy” Martin of Reynolds, Georgia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
