Rufus Lee Jenkins

Obituary Date: Monday, October 26, 2015
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 29, 2015 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Rufus Lee Jenkins age 93 of Gainesville. The Rev. Henry Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Jenkins passed away Monday October 26, 2015.
 
Mr. Jenkins was born in Hall County to the late Andrew “Andy” Conrad Jenkins and Katie Pearl Haynes Jenkins. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired from the Eton Corporation. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, the American Legion and Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James W. Jenkins, Andrew P. Jenkins, Johnny S. Jenkins, Eugene Jenkins, sisters, Alice J. Little and Connice J. Martin
 
Survivors include sisters, Etheleen Hooper, Gainesville, Mary Edith Gillespie, Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Elsie J. and Harold Thompson, Tucker, sister, Fannie J. Black, Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
 
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Autumn Breeze Assisted Living, nurses and doctors of Northeast Georgia Medical Center and the staff of Willowwood Nursing Home.
