Connell Long Reeves

Connell Long Reeves, age 89 of Jefferson, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospice in Athens, GA following a sudden illness.

                Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 3:00pm with Rev. Tony Estes officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 1:00-9:00pm at the funeral home.

                Mrs. Reeves was born January 11, 1926 in Lumpkin County, Georgia to the late Floyd and Lilly Sullens Long. She was retired from Country Pride and was a member of Setting Down Baptist Church. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Reeves; her sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Doris Reeves and Edward and Beatrice Reeves.

                Mrs. Reeves is survived by her daughter, Annie Reeves of Jefferson; daughter, Francis Bennett of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jeanne Reeves of Demorest; daughter, Rachel Reeves Patterson of Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Fred, Jr. and Kay Reeves of Cumming.; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
