R.C. “Pat” Patterson

            Mr. R.C. “Pat” Patterson, age 88 of Commerce died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living.  Mr. Patterson was born in Des Moines, IA to the late, Clint and Ruby Faye Snelson Patterson.  Mr. Patterson was retired from the GBI, Banks County Sheriff’s Office, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.  He was a member of Nicholson Baptist Church, a US Navy Veteran where he served in two wars, member of POAG, the Shriners, and Hudson Lodge # 294 F&AM.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Williams Patterson and son, Robert Clinton Patterson, Jr.

            Mr. Patterson is survived by his daughters, Patti Gary of Commerce, Cynthia O’Connell of Orlando, FL, and Candis Pritters of Keystone, FL; sister, Marilyn Thomas of Sacramento, CA; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

            Memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 30 at 11:30 AM from Nicholson Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Smith and Rev. Brad Wilson officiating.
