Robert Samuel Carithers

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Robert Samuel Carithers, age 87 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Monday, November 30, 2015.  Mr. Carithers was born in Athens, Georgia the son of the late William New Carithers and the late Clara Belle Sullivan Carithers, was retired from U.S. Sugar Corporation and was of the Baptist Faith.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Carithers is preceded by a daughter; Melody Ann Carithers, sister; Sarah Bennett and a brother; William Carithers.

Survivors include his wife of sixty seven years; Sue Wilson Carithers of Jefferson, two daughters; Linda Carithers of Key Largo, Florida and Michelle Sue Caryl of Jefferson.  Three brothers; Tommy Carithers of Cumming, Earl Carithers of Jefferson, Daniel Carithers of Carnesville, and six grandchildren also survive.

Graveside memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 9, 2016, from the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery with Minister Tom Plank officiating.  Those desiring may make memorials to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Mr. Robert Samuel Carithers.
