Irene Miller Roper

Irene Miller Roper, age 89 of Flowery Branch, GA died Saturday, December 5, 2015. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Chad Roebuck will officiate. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Irene was preceded in death by her son, Terry Miller, granddaughter, Darby Grissom and great grandson, Cory Miller. She is survived by her husband, Paul Roper, Flowery Branch. Sons, Billy Miller and wife, Polly, Gainesville, GA, Hoyt Miller, Jr., Buford, GA. Daughters and sons in-law, Vickie Miller and Bud Green, Jefferson, GA, Kathy and Jeff Pruitt, Buford, GA. Grandchildren, Troy Miller, Cindy Jordan, Jeff Pruitt, Jr., Buddy Grissom, Jr., Amber Miller, Brittany Miller and Dylan Miller. 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Sister, Jessie Barrett, Dahlonega, GA. Special friend and daughter, Joann Looper, Flowery Branch, GA. Irene was born in Dahlonega, GA and was a lifelong resident of the area.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
