Shirley Julia Meffert

Shirley Julia Meffert, 89, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Bickford Assisted Living of Alpharetta.  She had lived in Gainesville for 30 years before moving to Alpharetta one year ago.

Memorial services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 3:30 pm.

Mrs. Meffert was born on February 17, 1926 in Highland, Illinois to the late Albert Mueller and Martha Hammer.  She was a secretary at Westminster Presbyterian Church and also a member there.  She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, John William Meffert; son, Steven Allen Meffert; brother, Harry Mueller; and sister, Evelyn Keilbach.

Mrs. Meffert is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Colleen Meffert of Johns Creek; grandchildren, Adam, Victor, Anna and Will.
