Fred C. Blair

Fred C. Blair, age 91 of Gainesville, passed away on December 15, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga.

Mr. Blair was born November 15, 1924 in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Atlanta Boys High School. During World War Two he worked at the Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta, GA. While there he met his future wife, Harriette Duffey. They were married in Rome, GA, March 6, 1945. Mr. Blair was associated with Blair's Flower Shop and worked for many years in different areas of the floral industry. He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dave Park. He loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriette, his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Merry Blair, and grandchildren David, Beth and Scott, Russell and Melissa, Laurah and Jason, Katie and Dee, and Steven. Mr. Blair was Dada and Granddaddy to 22 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday January 10, 2016 at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church.
