Deloris R. Evans “Buddy” Stephens Clure

Mrs. Deloris R. Evans “Buddy” Stephens Clure, age 74, of Flowery Branch, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Willow Wood Nursing Home Nursing Home following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2015 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Len Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 21, 2015 from 2:30-3:30 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Clure was born June 7, 1941 in Homer, Georgia to the late Howard Evans and Thelma Tyner Evans.  She was retired from Harris Calorific and was a member of Flowery Branch Church of God.  Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold James Clure, her brother, James Earl Evans, her sister, Evelyn Evans Abbott and her first husband, Richard E. Stephens.

            Mrs. Clure is survived by her sons, Daniel Mark Stephens of Maysville and Gregory S. Stephens of Maysville, her daughter & son-in-law, Venita & Donnie Carroll of Braselton, her grandchildren, Michael L. Carroll, Joshua B. Carroll and Ryan S. Stephens, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters, Jimmie Couch of Lula and Florene White of Gainesville and sister-in-law, Jo Evans of Portland, Oregon.
