Jerry Winford Dills

Mr. Jerry Winford Dills, age 66, of Jefferson, GA died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice at Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Dills was born in Commerce to the late Curtis and Janie Whitlock Dills.  He was a diesel mechanic.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Dills was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Pressley Dills.

Mr. Dills is survived by his daughters, Lori Fields of Winder and Christy Thurmond of Jefferson; son, Ricky Dills of Bethlehem; brother, Pete Dills of Jefferson; sisters, Shirley Roberts of Jacksonville, FL, Hazel Brewer of Athens, Martha Whelchel of Jefferson, Jeanette McDonald of Jefferson, Betty Thurmond of Athens and Carolyn Hill of Danielsville; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 5 to 8 PM.
