Helen Frances Peeples Whitworth

Mrs. Helen Frances Peeples Whitworth, age 93 of Mize Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late S.P. Peeples, Sr. and Reeda Caudell Peeples, she was born July 12, 1922 in Banks County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was retired from Coats and Clark, was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Whitworth in 1997, by a son, Jerry Whitworth in 2013 and by a brother, S.P. Peeples, Jr.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Kay Whitworth of Roswell, Georgia; grandchildren, Thomas and Lesley Cogburn and Charles and Meg Cogburn; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and sister-in-law, Quinton Peeples and Forrest Peeples both of Eastanollee, Georgia and Kenneth and Faye Peeples of Toccoa, Georgia; sister-in-law, Sara Jean Peeples of Athens, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Thursday, December 31, 2015, 12 Noon at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Helen Frances Peeples Whitworth.
