Jimmy Audrey Stewart

Mr. Jimmy Audrey Stewart, age 67, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Stewart was born in Commerce to the late Jesse Leo and Julia Vaughn Stewart.  He attended Erastus Christian Church and was a United States Army Veteran.  Mr. Stewart was retired from the University of Georgia.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Stewart.

Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Madge Minish Stewart of Commerce; sons, Jimmy Sheldon Stewart of Danielsville and Rodney Shane Stewart of Commerce; sisters, Betty Beck and Midge Mullinax both of Danielsville and Dianne Smith of Commerce; brothers, Leon Stewart of Acworth and Carey Stewart of Commerce; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, January 7 at Erastus Christian Church with Rev. David Strickland, Mr. Steve Parker and Rev. Larry Dyer officiating.  Interment will follow in Erastus Christian Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5 to 7 PM.
