Alice Marie (Strawn) Elmore

Alice Marie (Strawn) Elmore passed away at home in the presence of her family on Monday, January 11, 2016, following an extended illness.

Alice was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 7, 1922. She was the daughter of John Enoch and Clara Ethel (Scoles) Strawn. She had one sister, Alma Strawn Pennington. Alice married in Columbus, Ohio on March 2, 1944, to Charles Edward Elmore, Sr. Together, they had two sons, Charles Edward Elmore, Jr. and Richard Allen Elmore.

Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Strawn; husband, Charles E. Elmore, Sr.; son, Richard Allen Elmore; and sister, Alma Pennington.

She is survived by her son, Charles Edward Elmore, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Christina Liane Elmore.

Visitation will be from 10AM to 1PM on Thursday, January 14 at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. A private service will be held immediately after visitation at 1PM and officiated by Pastor John Batusic of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Glen Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonita, CA.
