Sara Rider Howard

Mrs. Sara Rider Howard, age 91 of 7641 W. Currahee Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away January 21, 2016 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Clarence O. and Martha Spencer Rider, she was born December 12, 1924 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was employed with Toccoa Manufacturing for a number of years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  She loved traveling and shopping with her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Verner Howard in 2008 and by two children, John Howard and Ann Howard.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William and Linda Howard of Toccoa; grandchildren, Brad and Lori Howard, Monica and Ed Howard; great-grandchildren, Crystal and Brandon Hunt, Ashton & Kevin McSpadden, Carlan, Maddie, Tanner, Cooper, Bryson and Mia; great-great grandson, Colston Hunt; brother, Early Rider of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 25, 2016, 4 O’clock PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with The Reverend Roy Bainey and The Reverend Ken Jackson officiating.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Howard on W. Currahee Street and will received friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 PM until 8 PM.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Tony Howard, Greg Howard, Jimmy Howard, Johnny Rider, Ronnie Rider and Freddie Long.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sara Rider Howard.
