Edna Marie Hix

Mrs. Edna Marie Hix, age 63 of Commerce died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at her residence.  Mrs. Hix was born in Clarksville to the late, Hoyt Fair and the late, Edna Morine Eller Jones.  Mrs. Hix was a caretaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hix was also preceded in death by her son, Clifford Stancil and brother, Charles Fair.

            Mrs. Hix is survived by her daughters, Tracie Peyton (Michael) and Rebecca New (Jimmy) both of Commerce; son, Stanley Stancil of Gainesville; sisters, Betty Hansen of Cleveland and Gail Davis (Rex) of Hayesville, NC; five grandchildren, Taylor Valentine, CJ Peyton, Andrew Ayers, Courtney Campbell, and Bryson New; and one great grandchild, Jaycee Peyton.

            Funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 29 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Montgomery officiating with the interment following at the Baldwin City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1-2 PM.
