Barbara Moore Carter

Mrs. Barbara Moore Carter age 60 of 852 Martin Drive passed away Friday January 29, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Willie and Faye Poole Moore, she was born on September 28, 1955 in Alma, Georgia having lived all of her life in Stephens County. She was a homemaker and a member of Toccoa Creek Baptist Church. She taught the Toddler class and was a ACTEEN leader. She was preceded in death by a daughter Lindsay Carter.

Survivors include her husband William Carter of the home, a daughter and son-in-law Laurel and Tyler Matthews of Martin, a grandson Beckett Matthews, a brother and sister-in-law Billy and Shawn Moore of Elberton and two sisters and brother-in-law Debra and Dwain Chastain and Denise Addison of Toccoa and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday January 30 at 3:30 P.M. at Toccoa Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Joey Whitlock officiating. The family will be at the daughters house 1086 Martin Drive and will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Jerry Adams, Josh Addison, Jacob Addison, Ryan Moon, Alex Carter and Michael Carter.

Interment will follow in Toccoa Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
