Gloria Rose (Decker) Strautman

Gloria Rose (Decker) Strautman, age 90 of Gainesville, Georgia (formerly of Fairborn, Ohio) passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

            Mrs. Strautman was born February 21, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ira Thomas Decker and Rubino (Hogg) Decker Meyer. She was a retired Educator with Ohio Public School System. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Fairborn, Ohio and attended First Methodist Church of Gainesville. Mrs. Strautman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Henry Strautman and her sister, Sandra Meyer.

            Mrs. Strautman is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lt. Col (Ret.) William Douglas Strautman and Ann Eavey Strautman of San Antonio, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Scevola of Tualatin, OR; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bruce Mistarz of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Sohn of North Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Katherine Ann Strautman, Marcus William Strautman, Juli Elizabeth Sparks, Karol Aaron Eiche, Korey Coleman Eiche, Daniel William Mistarz, Michael Robert Mistarz and Kimberly Rose Mistarz; great-grandchildren, Keera Elise Bekooy and Levi Sparks.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Fairborn, Ohio.
