Mary Anna Morris Dunagan

            Mrs. Mary Anna Morris Dunagan, age 93 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at New Horizon Lanier Park following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Don Ormsbee, Dr. Jerry Gill and Dr. Tom Smiley will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Dunagan was born November 22, 1922 in Ashburn, Georgia to the late Arthur Clark Morris and Lula Van Brock Morris.  She was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church for a number of years.  Mary Anna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hoyt Dunagan.

            Mrs. Dunagan is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Faye & W. L. “Dub” Stargel of Gainesville, grandchildren, Stacey Griffin and Michele Stargel, both of Gainesville, great-grandchildren, Steven Bruce of Gillsville, Jenna Browning and Megan Griffin, both of Gainesville, 4 great-great-grandsons and 17 brothers and sisters.
