Alverda Stringer

Mr. Alverda Stringer, age 77 of Dahlonega, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Gold City Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Lighthouse of Prayer. Reverend Dawn McQueen will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Stringer was born May 1, 1938 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late William Stringer and Christine Bragg Stringer.  He retired from the restaurant business as a cook. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Johnny Stevie Stringer, brothers, Buddy and Bobby Stringer.

 Mr. Stringer is survived by his grandsons Dylan Stringer, Lane Stringer, and Blake Garner, great grandson, Noah Garner, great granddaughter, Ayla Garner, Brother Ottie Stringer, sister Ora Dale Stringer, Sister Loretta Mercado, mother of his child Cona Rider.
