William Norris McWhorter

William Norris McWhorter, 86, of Dawsonville, GA died at his home on March 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late William and Kate McWhorter.  His sister, Behre Bell also predeceased him.

Norris worked for Lockheed for 20 years and then started his own company, Nor-Ral Aerospace.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family.

Norris is survived by his beloved wife, Helen McWhorter of Dawsonville, GA; sons, Tony (Jessica) McWhorter of Canton, GA, John (Teresa) McWhorter of Cumming, GA and David (Tera) McWhorter of Dahlonega, GA; brother, Gerald (Elaine) McWhorter of Marietta, GA; much-loved grandchildren Amy McCloskey, Jesse McWhorter and Matthew McWhorter and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Old Roswell Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 4 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
