Franklin (Frank) Leroy Ross

Franklin “Frank” Leroy Ross, age 80, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on March 11, 2016 following an extended illness.

Frank was born May 25, 1935 in Dahlonega, GA. He was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin and Dawson Counties. He was a drywall contractor and was of the Baptist faith.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Adeline Ross; wife, Peggy Ross; brothers, Robert Ross and Howard Ross; sisters, Hazel Tyson and Fannie Weidner.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, George and Wylene Ross, Dawsonville, GA; sons, John Ross, Dawsonville, GA and Bradley Ross, Dawsonville, GA; daughter, Shirley Martin, Dawsonville, GA; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Jerry Minter, Dawsonville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Connie Ross, Dawsonville, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Dave Hall, Dahlonega, GA, Ruth and Leroy Piper, Marietta, GA and Brenda Young and Timmy Floyd, Dahlonega, GA; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ross, Dahlonega, GA; twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.   Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Frank are scheduled for 1 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Tommy Ross will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 4 PM to 9 PM and again on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 10 AM until time of service.
