Eugene Williams

Mr. Williams was born on September 14, 1934 in Homer, Georgia to the late A. D., Sr. and Allie Payne Williams.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, A. D. Williams, Jr.  Mr. Williams attended Community Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of the United State Army.  During the first part of his career, Mr. Williams was in home construction and then later a furniture builder. 

Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Martha Gribble Williams, Demorest, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Scott Carter, Cleveland, GA, Debbie and Michael Poole, Lula, GA, Pauline and Joe Bielicki, Lula, GA; sons, Jason Williams, Demorest, GA, Norman Williams, Maysville, GA; sisters, Geraldine Ivie, Cornelia, GA, Winnie Mullinax, Mt. Airy, GA, Mary Ann Wilbanks, Baldwin, GA; brother, Jerry Williams, Baldwin, GA; also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Rev. Robert Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
