Lamar Cleveland

Obituary Date: Tuesday, March 15, 2016

            Mr. Lamar Cleveland, age 74 of Braselton, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Kenneth Barrett and Reverend Royce Smith will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 4 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Cleveland was born April 12, 1941 in Hoschton, Georgia to the late Eugene Nelson Cleveland and Mary Leoner Chambers Cleveland.  He was a retired truck driver from T & T Honda and was of the Baptist Faith.  Lamar was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margie Elizabeth Stewart Cleveland, his daughter, Margie Elaine Cleveland, his brother, Nelson Cleveland and his sister, Vesta Haley.

            Mr. Cleveland is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law, Carrie & David Propes of Talmo and Karen & Bradley Parson of Gillsville, son, Johnny Cleveland of Braselton, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and brother & sister-in-law, J. D. & Carolyn Cleveland of Temple, Georgia.
