Sarah Davidson Nelson

Mrs. Sarah Davidson Nelson, age 86, of Commerce, GA died Monday, March 21, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Commerce to the late R.M. and Tallulah Merle Rogers Davidson.  Mrs. Nelson was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce and was a musician.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Edward Nelson, Sr.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Melinda Jane Nelson of Watkinsville; sons, Wallace Edward Nelson, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Robert Davidson Nelson of Commerce; and grandchildren, Cristina Nelson, Angie Nelson and Edward Hopkins.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, March 24 at First United Methodist Church of Commerce with Dr. David Bowen officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5 to 7 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Autism Speaks GA Chapter, 900 Circle 75 Parkway, Suite 445, Atlanta, GA 30339 or Commerce Fire Department, P.O.
