Mattie Mae Williams Borders

Mattie Mae Williams Borders was born on October 11, 1939 in Flowery Branch, GA.  She was the daughter of the late Luther Williams and Mattie Mae Williams.  She was raised in a household full of love and family.  Mattie Mae was a member of the Cross Plains Baptist Church.
 
Mattie Mae was employed by Mar Jac Poultry and held a full time job of raising seven children.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and was a fanatic for Western movies.  Mattie Mae was full of joy and loved to make people laugh.
 
On Saturday, March 19, 2016, Mattie Mae went home to be with the Lord.  She was preceded in death by two sons Roger Randolph and Jeffrey Scott Borders. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Matrilla M. King and Sonja D. Butler; three sons: Tony S. (Stacy) Borders, Ricky (Carla) Borders, Reginald Borders; one step-son: Stacy (Karen) Borders; four sisters: Elonzia Williams, Laura Dean Branch of Longview, TX, Ann (Halloray) Benjamin, Joyce (Robert) Lott, two brothers: Albert (Patricia) Williams, Lloyd (Michelle) Williams; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Cross Plains Baptist Church at 1 PM.  Visitation will be held on Friday at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home from 6-8PM.  Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home, Gainesville, GA, www.wimberlyjacksonfuneralhome.com
