Barbara Jean Brown

Mrs. Barbara Jean Brown, age 79 of Queen Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Henry Johnson and Vinie Dean Brown, she was born February 13, 1937 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived in Covington, Georgia for a number of years before moving back to Toccoa.  She was employed with Ingles for a number of years and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include a niece and caretaker, Melanie Aycox of Covington, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Ernestine Brown of Toccoa; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Douglas Collins of Alto, Georgia, Gayle Brown of Covington, Georgia and Brenda and Jay Sprouse of Asheville, North Carolina; number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday, March 31, 2016, 1 O’clock PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Barbara Jean Brown.
