Carolyn Whatley Standridge died on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center due to a sudden brain aneurysm.
Carolyn was born in Atlanta, GA on August 23, 1945 to Walter and Avis Whatley. She graduated from Henry Grady High School and attended Georgia State University. Carolyn had a career as a realtor but her true life’s calling was helping others. She worked and volunteered at the …In the Name of Jesus Ministries in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the No One Alone Family Violence Shelter, and the Lumpkin County Senior Center. She cared deeply for children and served as a child caregiver through the years. Carolyn loved the Lord and worshipped with the R Ranch and Creekstone communities in Dahlonega.
Carolyn is survived by her two daughters, Vandy Quinn and Rhonda Quinn-Lepre, her two brothers, Everett Whatley and Robert Whatley, her sister, Annette Emory, her two grandchildren, Maxwell and Madeline Lepre, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands, William Quinn and Lawrence Standridge.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 2pm at the R Ranch Lodge located at 65 R Ranch Road, Dahlonega, GA. All family and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the TLC Humane Society (1735 Red Oak Flats Road, Dahlonega).
