Bronnez Thompson Hudgins, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.
A private service was held at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Pavillion at the American Legion on Riverside Drive, Jeremy Pirkle, family and friends will officiate.
Ms. Hudgins was born to Gower Thompson and Willie Bess (Barrett) Thompson in Ball Ground, Georgia. She was a proud graduate of Gainesville High School Red Elephants class of 1954. Ms. Hudgins began her working career in finances and later spent much of her working life in the dental field as an office manager, where co-workers were known as friends. Following her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and her niece, Cathy Davis. A special thank you to Cathy who stood by her side through thick and thin. She was of the Baptist Faith and past president of the American Legion Auxillary and a former member of the Eastern Star.
Ms. Hudgins is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hudgins Woodard of Gainesville; daughter& son-in-law, Tori Hudgins Mabry and Phillip Mabry of Murrayville; grandchildren, Jeremy and Laura Pirkle, Jamie Bronnez Pirkle, Ashley and Roger Pearson, and soon to be Amberly and Tim Ader; 4 great-grandchildren that she loved dearly along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virginia Thompson, Hazel King, Ruth Shope, Maureen Davis; brother, James Thompson and their spouses.
The family would like to say a special thank you to each and every one that walked through this journey with them. The family looks forward to thanking each one of you at the Celebration of Life Service in her honor.
