Mrs. Linda Joyce Barnett, age 71, of Nicholson, GA died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Barnett was the daughter of the late Garnett and Willie Mae Crane Brown. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her children, Lisa Barnett and Greg Barnett; and brothers, Buck Brown, Garnett Brown, Jr. and Nelson Brown.
Mrs. Barnett is survived by her husband, Roger Barnett of Nicholson; and sisters, Edna Gooch and Vera Lockman both of Commerce.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 26 at Nicholson Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Howington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
