Mildred Vaughn Greenwood

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mildred Vaughn Greenwood, age 85 of Anderson, South Carolina who entered into rest Wednesday, April 27, 2016.  Mrs. Greenwood was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia a daughter of the late Ben W. Vaughn, Sr. and the late Ruby Steel Vaughn, was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church of Anderson.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Greenwood is preceded by a brother, Ben W. Vaughn Jr. and her husband, Philip J. Greenwood.

Survivors include three sons; Gary Greenwood of Anderson, S.C., Terry Greenwood and his wife Romona of Taylors, S.C., David Greenwood and his wife Christine of Texas.  Two sisters, Ann V. Asbury of Jefferson, and Nancy V. Parker of Snellville, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great – great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from the Bethel Baptist Church, 3981 Union Point Highway, Greensboro, Georgia with Reverend Robert Tomlin officiating, burial will follow at the Bairds Baptist Church Cemetery, 42 Bairdstown Loop, Union Point, Georgia.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the Bethel Baptist Church.
