Melvin Frank Bowen

Mr. Melvin Frank Bowen, age 67, of Homer, GA died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Bowen was born in Clarksville to the late Donnie Lee and Monteen Arflin Bowen.  He was retired as a manager at Big Star Foods.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Collins Bowen and second wife, Virginia Dell Denton.

Mr. Bowen is survived by his sons, Tony Bowen of Maysville and Brian Bowen of Midway; sisters, Lucille Hatfield of Dawsonville, Doreen Ferguson of Cornelia and Ora Belle Martin of Cleveland; brother, Jerry Bowen of Pendergrass; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, May 11 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Griffin officiating.  Interment will follow in Silver Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
