Ralph Gwynn Gage

Ralph Gwynn Gage of Gainesville, GA, formerly of Stone Mountain, passed away on May 11, 2016.

He is survived by his loving wife Ann Dobson Gage of 54 years and their children: Beth and Mike Hamil, Amy and Brian Weber, Debra Gage, Rhonda and Jon Gage and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother Edna Gage Winchell, father Gwynn Gage, stepfather Douglas Winchell and sister Estelle Grenfell.

Ralph was born in Painesville, OH on June 24, 1934. He graduated from Harvey High School where he was elected to the Sports Hall of Fame. Ralph attended The Ohio State University, where he played on the 1957 National Championship Football team coached by Woody Hayes, and earned a degree in Industrial Management and Engineering. A veteran of the United States Army, Ralph served in Special Services in Berlin, Germany.

Ralph was Vice President of Southern Operations for Coe Manufacturing which served the unique needs of the plywood and wood products industry across the world. During his 45-year career, he enjoyed the diverse challenges of that business and the relationships with customers that lasted for his lifetime.

Ralph's greatest joy in life was coaching youth sports. He coached girls' softball, youth football and served as President of Tucker Youth Council. He was a member of Gainesville Kiwanis and Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
