Doris Sella Barrett

Mrs. Doris Sella Barrett, 92 years old, died peacefully at her home in Flowery Branch, Georgia on Thursday, May 12, 2016.

She was born April 14, 1924 in Paterson, New Jersey, the only child of Edward and Henrietta Dillinsky.

She graduated from East Side High School in Paterson, New Jersey in 1941.  She was a Bell Pioneer starting work at New Jersey Bell in June, 1946, and retiring in July, 1983 after 37 years of service.  On June 7, 1947 she married John P. Barrett, Sr. and together raised their only child John P. Barrett, Jr.

She is survived by her son, John P. Barrett, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Linda Barrett; three grandchildren, John P. Barrett, III, Dawn Kampfer and Tamara Kampfer; and four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Barrett, Amanda Barrett, Harley Barrett and David Fortune.

Doris requested a private burial and funeral in New Jersey.  The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness and for their support of her family during this difficult journey.
