Jack W. Smith, age 90 of Lawrenceville, GA died Saturday, May 14, 2016. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Daniel Berg will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 2-3 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the Sola Fide Lutheran Church Building Fund. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Irene Smith, Lawrenceville. Children, Linda Ferman and husband Dr. Daniel Ferman, Newnan, Jacqueline Squires and husband Ray, Elkhart, Indiana, Craig Smith and wife Linda, Lawrenceville; Grandchildren, Matthew Ferman and wife Amy, Dr. Melissa Davis and husband Chuck, Dr. Alisha Humble and husband Matthew, Steve Squires and wife Kelli, Kimberly Smith and Aaron Smith; Great Grandchildren, Lake Ferman, Emily Ferman, Madison St. Clair, Mary Catherine Davis, Eden Humble, Ethan Humble, Ezra Humble, Jared Squires.  Mr. Smith was born in Southbend, Indiana and lived in the metro Atlanta area since 1982.  He was a self-employed machinist, a member of Sola Fide Lutheran Church, a Veteran of the US Marines where he served in Iwo Jima during WWII and earned the Purple Heart and the Silver Star and several other medals.  Mr. Smith loved the Lord and was a testimony to his family and the world.  Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel 770-945-6924 Share memories of Jack at www.hamiltonmillchapel.com
