Gary Olen Cooper

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Gary Olen Cooper, age 67 of Pendergrass, Georgia who entered into rest Tuesday, May 31, 2016.  Mr. Cooper was born in Pendergrass, Georgia a son of the late Dewey Alton Cooper and the late Thelma Lois Thomas Cooper, was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and along with his family, operated D. A. Cooper Furniture in the North Jackson Community for many years.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Cooper is preceded by a sister, Runette Durrett.

Mr. Cooper is survived by a daughter, Andrea of Gainesville, sister, Katherine Pennington of Pendergrass, and brother, Alton Cooper of Flowery Branch.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2016 from the Mountain Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Strickland officiating with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Eric Pennington, Ricky Pennington, Shane Bruce, Shannon Bruce, Gene Bruce and Raymond Smith.

The family will receive friends, 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church prior to the service.
