James Stanley Wyble

James Stanley Wyble, aged 90, passed away peacefully on June 04, 2016 in Dawsonville Georgia.   Stan was born on July 22, 1925 in Port Arthur Texas and was the only child of Joseph A. Wyble and Mary Odile Lalonde Wyble.

Stan was always very determined, ambitious and willing to take on challenges.  After graduating from high school he attended Texas A&M University where he became the Company Commander of the Core of Cadets and graduated with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.  He started work with Westinghouse to pursue a career in Sales and Marketing.

Stan’s first position was in Dallas Texas where he rented a room.  The landlord was very fond of Stan and introduced him to Barbara Luella Park, daughter of a close friend.  He immediately realized she was the love of his life and applied his engineering skills to build her a substantial dog house for her two precious cocker spaniels.  Barbara immediately decided he was a keeper and they married on April 14, 1949.

He was a devoted husband and father, and together they raised four children, Barbara Diane, Kathryn Elaine, James Stanley Jr, and Charles Barry.  His strong will, determination, kind heart, and love of his family provided the perfect home environment.  All four children graduated from college, married and have successful careers.

Stan’s career with Westinghouse allowed his family to experience many new cities, Dallas, Amarillo, Oklahoma City, Denver, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and returning to Dallas where he retired as a Vice President.

As the children grew up, he enjoyed taking the family fishing, hiking, camping, snow skiing, hunting, and doing the many outdoor activities that were available in each new area that they lived.

When he moved back to Dallas, he and Barbara found a perfect second home on Lake Tenkiller.  They hosted family reunions every summer.  The entire family, children and grandchildren have many fond memories of wonderful vacations at the lake house.  Stan was a role model to his children and his grandchildren and was loved dearly by all.

Stan was devoted to his wife, Barbara and he her. They were married for sixty-six years and were side by side through life supporting and loving each other and their children.

Stan is survived by his children Diane, Kathryn, Jim, and Barry his grandchildren, John, Brian, David, James, Katie, Brandon, Ally and his great grandchildren LJ (Little James), Carter, Brielle, and John.
