Sarah Helen Craig

Mrs. Sarah Helen Craig, age 82, of Commerce, GA died June 19, 2016 at her residence from a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  Mrs. Craig was born in Clarksville to the late George Fred Allen and Lillie Mae Sosebee Allen.  She was a member of Brockton Road Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker from Harmony Grove Mills and Mt. Vernon Mills.  She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Craig is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul Edgar Craig of Commerce; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and John Murray of Commerce; grandchildren, Taylor Jones Oren (Chris) of Vandalia, OH and Torie Jones of Danielsville; great-granddaughter, Adaline Mae Oren; brother, William Ralph Allen (Jessie) of Commerce; many nieces and nephews; several grand-nieces and nephews.  She was also blessed to have two special ladies in her life; Miss Nizzie Barrett and Geraldine Adams both of Commerce; and an honorary daughter, Sheila Bolton of Commerce.

Funeral services will be at 5 PM, Tuesday, June 21 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Dugar Strickland, Rev. Jerry Ledford and Rev. John Wood officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 3:30 to 5 PM.
