Jean Vaughan Nalley

Jean Vaughan Nalley, age 63, of Atlanta, GA, died at Halcyon Hospice-Altus House in Atlanta, GA, on July 14, 2016.  She was the daughter of Doris Dorsey Nalley and Dr. James Lane Nalley.  Ms. Nalley was born on August 13, 1952, in Gainesville, GA.

She graduated from Lakeshore High School, attended Randolph Macon Women's College, and graduated from Louisiana State University.  Ms. Nalley received her Master of Education degree from Georgia State University and successfully completed a thirty year teaching career in the Fulton County school system.  She is preceded in death by her parents.  Ms. Nalley is survived by her brother, James Lane Nalley, Jr., her sister-in-law, Coleman Mobley Nalley, and her niece, Coleman Vaughan Nalley.  Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Alta Vista Cemetery, 521 Jones St., Gainesville, GA 30501.
