John Ray Edge

                John Ray Edge, age 53 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

                Memorial services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Anderson and Rev. Thurmond Parker officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

                Mr. Edge was born August 28, 1962 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late William Jackson Edge, Sr. and the late Myrtle Lee Guyton Edge. He was a truck driver and was a member of Cannon Baptist Church.

                Mr. Edge is survived by his wife, Melissa Edge of Gainesville; daughter, Ashley Watson of Gainesville; sister, Myrtle Flanagan of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Jimmy Reed of Lula; son, Shane Watson of Atlanta; son-in-law, Eric Burston of Gainesville; granddaughter, Erika Burston of Gainesville; granddaughter, Jaclynn Edge of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Sha Edge of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Fletcher and Donna Edge of Gainesville; 22 nephews and nieces, numerous great nephews and nieces.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
