Mark Douglas Collett

Mark Douglas Collett, age 73, of Cumming, Ga, went to be with his Lord on August 11, 2016.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  Mark was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA.  Mark retired from Fulton County as a crew foreman.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Florence Collett; sister, Dot Bates; brother, Garlon Collett; brother and sister in law, Roger and Elaine Collett.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janice Collett; children, Alisha (Rev.Mitch) Buice of Clermont, Rev.Terry (Ginger) Collett of Cumming;  grandsons, Roland Collett, Mason Buice; sister and brother in law, Padge and Vernie Reece of Dawsonville; brother in law and sister in law, Grace Collett  of Dawsonville and Melvin Bates of Batesville; several nieces, nephews and other relatives .

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at 3:00 PM, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA, with Rev. Mitch Buice, Rev. Terry Collett , Rev. Lee Gaddis and Rev. Bud Sutton  officiating.  The interment will follow at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. and Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-9:00 P.M. and Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
