Janice Calhoun Clark

Janice Calhoun Clark passed away peacefully into her heavenly father’s arms with her loving family around her bedside at her home in Cumming, GA on August 12th, 2016. Janice was born on June 23rd, 1954 in Toccoa, GA but lived most of her adult life in Cumming. She was the daughter of Leon & Flewellyn Calhoun. Janice was a registered nurse at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for 16 years and continued her nursing career until 2013. Due to health issues, Janice had to retire from nursing but continued to care for her family and others who were in need of her help. Janice had a servant’s heart and a great love for her family. Janice was a lifelong member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
 
Janice leaves behind to follow her later to her eternal home her husband, Gary Clark of 35 years. Two sons and daughter in laws; Jason & Leigh Clark, Jarrett & Falon Clark, all of Cumming. A sister; Joyce Ann Chappelear of Toccoa. Grandsons; Brody, Bryson and Bennett Clark & granddaughter; Landyn Clark, niece; Angie Chappelear & Kim Norton. Brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; David & Shelia Clark, Paula & Roy Heard. She is also survived by a great number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother- in-law; Harry Chappelear.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15th at 3:00 pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Shad Faulkner, Rev. Jerry Frazier and Rev. Mickey Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
