Katie Inez Woody

Katie Inez Woody, age 90, a lifelong resident of Dahlonega, GA passed away peacefully on August 15, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Benton and Millicent Adams and was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Woody, Sr.; infant daughter; son, Garland Woody; brothers, Roger Adams and Frank Adams; infant brother; and sister, Pauline Louderback.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sue Woody, Dahlonega, GA; son, Ricky Woody, Dawsonville, GA; daughter, Lynette Stowers, Dawsonville, GA; brothers, Benton Adams, Jr., Savannah, GA, John Adams, Packwood, WA, Talmadge Adams, Cumming, GA; sisters; Evelyn Grella, Long Island, NY, Joann Smith, Cleveland, GA, Margie Barnes, Dahlonega, GA, Nina Martin, Dahlonega, GA; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services for Katie are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday August 17, 2016 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Bobby Whitmire will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday August 16, 2016 from 4 PM to 9 PM and again on Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 10 AM until time of service.
