Mrs. Joyce Tolbert, age 85 of Commerce died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Tolbert was born in Nicholson to the late, Oliver Charles and Ethel “Babe” Howington Sailors. Mrs. Tolbert was a homemaker and a member of River of Life Worship Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tolbert was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. “Pete” Tolbert; sisters, Wilameta Smith and Carolyn Barnett; and brother, TR “Pete” Sailors.
Mrs. Tolbert is survived by her daughter, Elaine Tolbert Buice (Jack) Commerce; grandchildren, Jason D. Morris (Dawn), William W. Morris (Tracie), and Joshua H. Morris (Melanie); great grandchildren, Kayla Morris, Carlie Morris, Kyle Morris, Dillon Morris, and Braxton Morris; step grandchildren, Sara Buice Truitt (Todd Stinson); step- great grandchildren, Chance McClure, Sydney McClure, Dylan Seagraves, Jacob Buice, Chance Truitt, and soon to be Abigail Stinson; two fur babies, Babie and Lucy-Lu; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Evans and Joanne Sailors; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 22nd at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Kesler, Rev. Howard Rhodes, and Rev. Dennis Duck officiating with the interment following at Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5-8 PM.
